About this Event
Build Your Own (Origami) Furniture!
Come and join me for another fun-filled and relaxing session of folding paper at the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum! Learn how to create miniature origami furniture items using beautiful papers from around the world.
You will discover how to create chairs, a table and an organ each from a single sheet of paper. Not just for display, these are great for quickly assembled doll houses/rooms, fairies, elves, and unique ways to display small items... even using them as table names or photo holders!
Andrew Carnegie's desk, chair and other items of furniture from his homes in New York and Skibo Castle can be seen in the museum. More information about these artefacts and their history can be obtained from the museum staff.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced folder, this event is perfect for all abilities and includes a take-home folder and instructions.
Hot drinks are available for £1 at the museum cafe.
